Lets get rolling!

My first blog, lets see how this goes!

We are always told how thankful we should be for what we have. We hear inspirational stories, watch amazing videos, and see great things happen... But what about the little things in life? What about those little special moments we take for granted and overlook because we are too busy to stop and just think, " Wow, that really made me happy."  If maybe we could focus our energy on something as simple as appreciating these things, we could all be a little bit better for it.

I'm going to do 365 days of little awesome-ness. Whether it be something of my own, or something we all can appreciate.  Hopefully you too can look at the little things in your life, and maybe even notice some of mine, to brighten your day that little bit :)

Day 1

When the first person lets you go in traffic.

This morning, like all others, I rushed around getting ready for work. I finally hopped into my car and began my 20 minute journey to my workplace located 5 minutes from home.  I pulled my car to the driveway (which may I add is located on the main route of rushhour traffic) and the VERY FIRST person stopped to let me out onto the road.

This never happens!! I usually spend at least 5 minutes waiting for some soul to decide letting one car ahead of them won't actually make them late, or in some cases later, or having to poke my nose out so far they have no choice but to hit me or let me go. ( Luckily so far its only been the latter choice.)

For once this morning I actually stopped and thought "This man just made my morning", and he had no idea!

Today I had the pleasure of having a few of those awesome little moments. While trying to decide which I should choose for my first writing, this moment really stuck out to me.

The reason... Not only is this one of the great little moments for me, this is one of those AMAZING chain reactions. My day was made by a man who did the simple action of letting me go in traffic, I then realized how happy this made me and how I could do this same simple task for others. Now everytime I let someone go first, or even at all, I think about how happy I was and that maybe they too will be.
